Vintage Eyeglass Frames
Vintage eyeglass frames come from the era of history around more than half a century old.

From the 1940s to the 1960s, eyewear received a makeover turning from a thing of necessity to a thing of fashion with the introduction of fashionable eyeglasses.
Many companies in the United States and Europe started making fancy frames. Shapes and materials included faux tortoise, cat-eye, and Lucite with rhinestones.

In the late 1940s, eyewear became fashionable as many manufacturers, such as Art-Craft Optical Co., Bausch & Lomb, Kono USA, and Swank International Optical Co., made commercial ads featuring movie stars wearing their frames.

Frames those days were embellished with rhinestones, pearls, or silver trim.
Vintage frames from these decades are very popular with collectors. Are you one of those too?
