Sunglasses
Sunglasses are glasses on your eyes with lenses that are colored or darkened in order to prevent bright light from dazzling the eyes.

Sunlight is often too bright to be comfortable, especially while reading from a paper in direct and bright sunlight.

Also in outdoor activities especially while skiing and flying, the eyes tend to receive more light than normal.

Ophthalmologists recommend wearing these glasses whenever you are outside, in order to protect your eyes from ultraviolet radiation.

Goggles, as they sometimes are called, have also been common with celebrities and film actors primarily due to the desire to mask identity, but in part also due to the strong lighting involved in production being uncomfortable to eyes.

Since the 1950s goggles have gone popular as a fashion statement too, especially on beaches.
